Soccer jurisdictions around the world are insisting that all movable soccer goals be anchored before a game may begin. The same safety rules should apply to practices as well. The current gold standards are usually large metal spikes in a J or U shape, or else a chain and auger style. These systems do work but they also lead to a potential injury if a player or goalie should slide or fall into the net. The GTI Strap Anchor system utilizes extra tough 2800 pound nylon webbing with a sliding system that allows the strap to adapt to any shape of goalpost. The Strap Anchors are then staked in behind the net so there is no metal inside. Our spikes (10 inch J hooks) are provided with each Strap Anchor and can be pounded in on an angle to the bar so it stays more secure than a net that is anchored with a spike straight up and down. We recommend 4 Strap Anchors per regulation net. (2 for the back and 1 for each side) and 2 Strap Anchors per mini net. Our GTI Strap Anchors are safer but also anchor the net more securely!
